Title: Technical Business Analyst

Reports to: Director, Product Management

Location: New York City, NY

Summary

TxVia is a technology company looking to bring a new direction to prepaid card processing using Model Driven Architecture. We work with our clients to develop and market prepaid cards on a variety of networks. We provide software and tools, guidance and management services, and a customizable platform to allow companies to process prepaid cards. As a result, our clients realize significantly increased scalability, materially improved time-to-market and substantial cost savings.

Part of our Product team’s function is the capturing and analysis of business and functional requirements from our clients, internal teams as well as 3rd party vendors for integration purposes. These requirements are then passed onto our Development teams to design and build the necessary products and features.

Our goal is to bring innovative products to market within the prepaid arena that meet our clients’ needs and move us along our corporate roadmap.

We are looking for dynamic, highly motivated self-starters to work as Business Analysts within our Product team.

Responsibilities

 Capture of client, internal and third party business and functional requirements

 Perform functional and/or technical analysis of business requirements and document the results

 Document requirements via use case methodology – including process mapping and flowcharts

 Help to manage key project stakeholders (client, internal and external)

 Serve as the SME while working with Model Development and Quality Assurance during the testing phases of projects

 Serves as a liaison between Development/Programming and business owners when capturing requirements

 Conduct design sessions, as needed, with Model Developers and Programming Teams

 Manage new requirements, change control, enhancement requests and warranty items using issue tracking software

Knowledge and Experience Required

 5+ years in a business analysis role in financial services industry with demonstrable business and technical analysis skills. Financial services industry experience might include ACH processing, Regional Network, Check, Credit and Phone Card Processing, merchant acquiring or Back office/Settlement experience

 Prior experience with a technology driven company is a plus

 Experience with Visa/MasterCard operating rules and regulation is a distinct advantage

 Exposure to the prepaid, stored value or electronic payment industries is highly desirable

 Experience in process re-engineering is a plus

 Experience working within an Agile development project lifecycle is a plus

 Able to work unsupervised when required

 Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, in English

 Familiar with Microsoft Office tools – or Apple / Mac equivalents

Education
